Technical Operator PDI - Motorcycles

Katoen Natie in Ghent is looking for technical operators for a project with a renowned motorcycle brand. As part of the team, you inspect new motorcycles and prepare them before they leave for dealers and customers.

Your role

As a Technical Operator PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection), you make sure every motorcycle is fully ready for delivery. You follow each bike from arrival to dispatch: you uncrate it, inspect it technically and prepare it for delivery. Quality and accuracy come first.

Your tasks

• Uncrating new motorcycles and moving them to the stock or PDI area with an overhead crane
• Carrying out technical checks: starting the engine, lights and indicators, safety systems, parts and finish (scratches, damage)
• Doing light assembly work, such as fitting parts
• Working with a range of hand tools
• Taking part in quality campaigns, such as recalls and additional inspections
• Recording your checks correctly in the warehouse management system (WMS)

• You have a technical background, for example training in mechanics, or experience in automotive, assembly or production
• You work accurately, have an eye for detail and are quality-minded
• You speak good English
• You can handle physical work: motorcycles are moved by hand after uncrating
• You are willing to work in 2 shifts and can handle a varying workload
• You are open to overtime and the occasional Saturday
• Experience in logistics or with machines is a plus, but not required
